Splay Kerbs allow for a restraint between pedestrian and vehicular applications. The edge shape of the Splay is designed to allow access to vehicular traffic to drive over itself when necessary. To ensure safety, the splay kerb is used in applications when a footpath is not present. Typically Splay Kerbs provide emergency vehicular access to landscapes bordering carriageways or other similar usages.
