"Driveway As Design Statement"
At this private residence, the internal approach road was designed not merely as infrastructure but as an extension of the architecture it serves. Using ISTAKA’s Valerian plank-format pavers, the roadway becomes a refined design element that reflects the material palette of the surrounding residences while maintaining the strength required for daily vehicular movement.
The paving strategy draws directly from the architectural elevations. Dual tones of Raven and Mushroom Valerian pavers are arranged in a precise criss-cross pattern, allowing the road to visually echo the geometry and colours of the buildings. The linear plank format reinforces directionality while maintaining structural integrity for vehicular traffic. The surface reads as a continuous architectural gesture—linking landscape, road, and building façade into one coherent composition.
Valerian – Plank-format pavers with linear elegance, blending with building elevations. Stonske – Edge restraint elements for clean boundary definition.
